We need in ourselves to be mindful of what we need (really need) and what we want in life because there is a difference. It's good to have thoughts about nice things, but it is realistic to have a real knowledge of what is a base essential as to what is going to make us happy and enjoy life. Understanding the reality of life and what is possible, what could be possible and what maybe possible identifies an understanding within that helps you stop feeling the "blues" that at certain times you haven't got what you thought you might have gotten. Knowing yourself is a big step towards happiness and inner contentment.
