As a race of people the Human Race has survived because of its inherent need to foster love and friendship between itself. Yes there have been wars and still will be because there are always those who live on their ego and need greed as a sub-structure to feel value in life. But fortunately for the vast majority of people they just want to live the best kind of life they can. Without being needed by someone whether it is a significant other or just a best friend we have very little to go on in our lives and thus our own self worth is then put in question.
